Apresenta exemplares que representam a diversidade vegetal dos biomas Mata Atlântica e Pampa. No caso do bioma Mata Atlântica, a maioria dos exemplares pertence à formação fitoecológica Floresta Estacional Decidual. Dentre as famílias botânicas, Orchidaceae é destaque pelo elevado número de registros e de espécies representadas, indicando a diversidade da família na região em que o Herbário está inserido.
