Soil macrofauna communities in native Atlantic Forest and native grassland vegetation at the Vila Velha State Park, Ponta Grossa, Paraná, Brazil
Soil macrofauna biodiversity across land use systems in neotropical biomes
Description
Soil macrofauna communities were evaluated in a native Atlantic Forest (Araucaria forest) and a native grassland area at the Vila Velha State Park, in Ponta Grossa county, Paraná state, Brazil, in September 2013, and in January of 2014. The fauna was sampled following the standard methodology of the Tropical Soil Biology and Fertility Programme (TSBF), where the soil (down to 20 cm depth) and surface litter were hand-sorted from monoliths of 25x25 cm, and the abundance of a total of 45 taxa assessed.
The dataset is published following Darwin Core sampling event standards in IPT. Download the complete DarwinCoreArquive in https://ipt.sibbr.gov.br/sibbr/resource?r=20_soil_macrofauna_sampling_vilavelha
